May 30, 2022 - Tuckahoe Creek

Chuck, Mark and I went to see Top Gun: Maverick this morning on Memorial Day.  What a great flick!  It's not often that a sequal is as good as the original.  They did this one right.  The flying sequences were amazing, of course, but the entire movie was excellent.  Afterwords, we all felt the need, the need for speed!  So within two hours after seeing the awesome movie, we were flying in our poor man's F-18 Super Hornets!

Here we are heading outbound passing Hart-Miller Island.  Memorial Day, great weather, Spring:  look at all the boats.

Chuck and Mark were heading to Georgetown for lunch.  I didn't have time to eat lunch with them but I did accompany them most of the way.  It just felt good to be flying.

Chuck had a passenger so I moved in close to let him see another plane up tight in flight.

After I broke away from Chuck and Mark, I went up above the cumulous clouds.

Preparing to let down through the broken layer.

Looking northeast at Tuckahoe Creek, which is a branch off the Choptank River, running left to right at the bottom of the picture.

A better look at Tuckahoe Creek.

Turning final at Essex Skypark.  Despite the beautiful day, the pattern is empty, as usual.
  P
Passing by the beautiful FBO Building, which is rarely used, and locked up to transient pilots.  But they continue to poor our hangar rent dollars into this money pit every year.
